Steam Turbine installed as part of the L90 Waste Incinerator facility at Esbjerg, Denmark
Esscano Power A/S and B+V Industrietechnik GmbH secured the contract to supply the Steam Turbine Plant for the L90 Waste Incinerator facility at Esbjerg, Denmark.
This plant is owned by 35 municipal councils and is designed to burn 180.000 tons of waste per year. Approximately 90 tons of steam per hour is produced and feeds the B+V Steam Turbine at a pressure of 40 bar and at a temperature of 400 ˚C. At full load, this turbine will produce an output of 18.5 MW of power and deliver 51 MW of energy to the local district heating system.

Work started in the spring of 2002 with Esscano Power A/S representing B+V Industrietechnik GmbH’s interests on site, where we provided project coordination services with the Builder, Consulting Engineers and other contractors.
Esscano Power was responsible for the supervision of the erection and the work of B+V Industrietechnik’s sub-suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the work was done to specification.
Esscano Power A/S commissioned, tested and handed over the plant on time in mid 2003.
