Damper upgrade to minimise dust and heat loss through seals on competitors equipment
APPLICATION:
COAL FIRED POWER PLANT IN DENMARK
MISSION:
To improve the unacceptably high dust and heat leakage from an installed competitor’s damper shaft and stuffing boxes.
SOLUTION:
The installation of maintenance-free, tight shaft seals, during a brief shut down period.
EXECUTION:
The old stuffing boxes, with and without sealing air were removed and Esscano Power’s well proven, self adjusting and maintenance-free shaft seal system was built into the existing stuffing box bushing, negating the need for sealing air.
